About Our Organization

Our organization was formed to rescue and rehabilitate abused, neglected, homeless and abandoned animals. We provide humane, loving care, temporary foster homes, and veterinary care to the dogs we choose for our program. We choose loving, compassionate, and dedicated adoptive homes and families for our animals.
"Rescue" includes pickup from owners or animal welfare facilities, shelters, and pounds, and assessment of the animal’s suitability as a pet. Before being accepted into our Rescue, dogs undergo an extensive behavior, temperament, personality, and training evaluation.
Prior to adoption, each animal in our program is provided at least two veterinary examx, spay or neuter, all vaccinations, multiple wormings, heartworm test and treatment if heartworm positive, heartworm preventative, and flea and tick preventative.
We primarily adopt our dogs out in the Northeastern part of the U.S. We have branches in Connecticut and Texas. We send lots of lucky dogs to loving homes in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont, and New York.
If you are considering getting a new dog, or if you know friends and family who are, please consider and suggest rescuing vs. buying a dog from a breeder. We have every breed of purebred dog available in our Texas pounds and shelters, in great quantities. This is because of the complete lack of any regulation or limit on breeding in Texas. Approximately 30-40% of euthanasias in pounds in TX involve purebred animals. Mixed breeds in TX stand almost no chance of making it out of the pounds alive. There is absolutely nothing wrong with these dogs; they just had the misfortune of being owned by people who did not provide for their needs and care and obviously had no real commitment to their pet. Countless numbers of Texans turn their own dogs in to high-kill shelters, dump them rurally in the middle of nowhere, or let them roam and stray. It reflects a mentality that most dog lovers do not understand. But, it is prevalent in Texas.
Our foster families will be happy to speak with you and tell you all there is to know about any dog you are considering. Please feel free to contact us if we can answer any questions about rescue and adoption, and what's involved in the process. We look forward to working with you, and hope that you will be our next adopter! Our dogs need you!
